LeBron credits Embiid for his Offseason Decision

In July, LeBron James signed with the Philadelphia 76ers in a blockbuster move. 

It was one of the biggest moves in the offseason, alongside the Jaylen Brown move to Philly as well. 

In a recent podcast episode with NBA legend Steve Nash, James said this about his reasons to play for the Sixers. 

"He's done everything in our league, and the only thing he has not done is win a championship. And I want to try to help him get that first one," James said. "He has a city on his back. He's been 'The Process' for 10 years, 12 years, however long he's been there. But I think it's time we even get you deeper into The Process. And I hope that I can be, kind of, that final little piece that can help him get over the hump."

That’s right, he’s talking about former league MVP Joel Embiid. 

Embiid has been one of the most disrespected players in the association since his debut ten years ago. He wasn’t an MVP for no reason.

The problem with “The Process” is that he’s been severely injured every year of his career. 

With the additions that Philly made in the offseason, the load gets taken off of him a bit.

The two stars have had success together before, as they won a gold medal together at the 2024 Olympics. 

If LeBron is able to come into Philadelphia and win them their first championship since 1983, his GOAT case takes a huge step, and he may end all conversations. 

Sixers media day is on Monday, September 28, and it will be James’s first appearance in a 76ers uniform.
