Unfortunately for college football fans all over the world the regular season ended last weekend. So now let's look at last week's matchups such as Texas facing Texas A&M at home where Texas upset Texas A&M last Friday night winning by score of 27-17.
This upset was the only major upset in the top 10 last Saturday. Ohio State Buckeyes beat Michigan by score of 27-9. Alabama won at Auburn by score of 27-20 on the road. Overall there was no drama filled scenario to help out the Miamis and Vanderbilts of the college football landscape.
Now it is all about championship Saturday where in the Big 12 championship game will feature BYU vs Texas Tech. Then Georgia vs Alabama in the SEC Championship Game and in the Big Ten Conference Championship Game it will be Ohio State vs Indiana where the top 2 teams in the country will face each other but the liability in this matchup regardless of who loses both teams will be in the playoffs.
The Predictions for these championship games will be Texas Tech over BYU,Georgia over Alabama including Ohio State over Indiana. This Sunday will be interesting to see who will make the final cut of the college football playoff rankings: 1-12.
Will Miami Hurricanes get in or will Notre Dame get in the playoffs possibly but it will come down to what happens in the championships games this weekend that can determine their fate like the BYU vs Texas Tech and Georgia vs Alabama matchups only time will tell.
