The College Football Season is now getting more serious as the season progresses into the month of November. November is the final month of the season in college football. Teams are vying for the playoff scenario. Teams can't afford to lose a game especially if they have 1 or 2 losses so they have to run the table like Texas, Miami or Notre Dame. Texas A&M made a huge statement against the LSU Tigers on the road by winning by score of 49-25.
This loss resulted in the unfortunate firing of Head Coach Brian Kelly. LSU is one of the teams that underachieve along with Penn State,Texas,and Clemson. Alabama was able to overcome a 22-14 deficit to win on the road against the South Carolina Gamecocks by score of 29-22. Ole Miss won a big game at Oklahoma by score of 34-26. This was a big game win on the road. #10 Vanderbilt won at home against #17 Missouri winning by score of 17-10. #18 South Florida was upset by the Memphis winning by score of 34-31. Illinois was upset by unranked Washington losing by score of 42-25. Arizona State was upset by unranked Houston by losing by score of 24-16.
Let's look at the slate of games keep eyes on Vanderbilt vs Texas,Miami vs SMU,Oklahoma vs Tennessee and Cincinnati vs Utah. Texas will beat Vanderbilt including Tennessee will beat Oklahoma,and Utah will beat Cincinnati.
NFL Outlook:
Moving forward to last week's slate of games in the NFL, the only game that stood out was Cincinnati Bengals vs New York Jets. The Jets won their first game at Cincinnati by score of 39-38. This was the only matchup that was competitive and compelling as far as the afternoon games are concerned.
Let's look at the games this week keep eyes on the game of the week such as Chiefs vs Bills, Vikings vs Lions,Steelers vs Colts and Panthers vs Packers. The Bills will beat the Chiefs including the Lions will beat the Vikings, Colts beat Steelers and the Packers will beat the Panthers.
NBA Outlook:
The NBA Season is ongoing and what stands out is the 76ers in the Eastern Conference where they are undefeated at 4-0. The catalyst is the backcourt of Tyrese Maxey who is leading the league in scoring averaging 37.5 points and 8.5 assists. VJ Edgecombe is averaging 22.3 points and 5.5 assists. The Chicago Bulls are undefeated at 4-0. The catalyst is Josh Giddey who is averaging 19.5 points and 7.8 assists.
In the Western Conference the defending champion Oklahoma City Thunder is undefeated and why they are still the team to beat in the NBA. The Thunder are undefeated at 6-0. The catalyst is Shai Gilgeous Alexander who is averaging 34.2 points including 5.7 assists. Chet Holmgren is averaging 23.0 points including 10.3 rebounds.
Finally, the San Antonio Spurs is undefeated at 5-0. Victor Wembanyama who scored 28 points and 18 rebounds including 6 assists and 5 blocks against the Miami Heat is the catalyst for the early success. Wembanyama is averaging 30.2 points including 14.6 rebounds which leads the league.
World Series Recap:
Finally the Toronto Blue Jays are one win away from capturing their first World Series championship in 32 years because they are up 3-2. The Blue Jays have been resilient after losing Game 3 in 18 innings when Freddie Freeman hit a walk off game winning home run to win by score of 6-5. Dominant pitching and timely hitting has put the Blue Jays on the door step to a championship especially Rookie Pitcher Trey Yesavage who had 12 strikeouts in Game 5. Vladimir Guerrero Jr is coming through with big home runs in LA.
