NFL Week 3: Recap & Review
The NFL season is flying by, and week three gave us some more magic. Here is the week three recap and breakdown.
Falcons def. Packers 35-14: Green Bay simply needs to figure it out, and fast. Michael Penix Jr made the Atlanta Falcons finally look decent, and it’s a step in the right direction.
Steelers def. Bengals 30-27: In a surprise victory, Aaron Rodgers turned back the clock with three touchdowns. For Cincinnati, the defense has to improve.
Jaguars def. Patriots 35-6: New England is representing the “Super Bowl Slump” title very well. Drake Maye has been horrible, having one passing touchdown and six (!) interceptions so far this season. Jacksonville has been rolling offensively, which is huge for them.
Giants def. Titans 12-7: Tennessee just keeps proving that they are the worst team in the NFL. New York has been riddled with injuries and still found a way to win.
Commanders def. Seahawks 33-31: This was a massive upset in week three, and like the Patriots, Seattle’s Super Bowl hangover is alive and well. Marcus Mariota had three touchdowns and zero turnovers in the victory.
Lions def. Jets 31-24: Detroit’s games have all been too close to call this season, and this should be a cause for concern. The Jets haven’t looked bad either, they just can’t finish games.
Browns def. Panthers 21-18: Deshaun Watson has come alive for Cleveland, and they are currently sitting at a 2-1 record. Unfortunately, Carolina just couldn’t get anything going on offense.
Chiefs def. Dolphins 24-10: Miami kept the first half of this game competitive, then Kansas City locked in and took care of business. Dolphins star running back De’Von Achane tore his ACL in the loss.
Bills def. Chargers 24-16: The Chargers are now 0-3, and people need to start calling them out. It’s borderline pathetic how they find ways to lose games and not be competitive.
Colts def. Texans 19-17: Houston being 0-3 is very alarming, considering the expectations they had coming into the season. Losing to the Colts is a sign to look yourselves in the mirror.
49ers def. Cardinals 36-30: Arizona hasn’t gone down without a fight this season, but the 49ers just have too much firepower offensively.
Vikings def. Buccaneers 23-16: The Vikings are a scorching 3-0, and their defense is a huge reason why. For Tampa, they are 0-3 and it’s a scary thought.
Raiders def. Saints 35-27: The almighty Raiders are 3-0 for the first time in five years, and it’s something to talk about.
Ravens def. Cowboys 34-31: Dallas keeps finding ways to lose close games, and they have to take control early. For Baltimore, it was a good bounce back win.
Broncos def. Rams 30-26: Denver came back after being down 16-0, and they showed the league that they are still contenders. For the hyped up Rams, they’ve been a disappointment.
Bears def. Eagles 27-7: Philadelphia put on an absolutely pathetic performance on Monday night. Case Keenum scored three touchdowns and embarrassed Philly’s defense.
