The College Football Season got underway with 2 ranked teams like 22nd ranked Iowa State vs 17th Kansas State in Dublin,Ireland. Iowa State beat Kansas State by score of 24-21. Quarterback Rocco Becht threw for 2 touchdowns on 183 yards passing. This was the only matchup that featured 2 ranked teams.

Moving forward it is one of the best Week 1s in recent years when you look at the matchups that have top quality. First Things First, top ranked Texas Longhorns go on the road to face 3rd ranked Ohio State Buckeyes. The Arch Manning mania will be at a fever pitch in the Horseshoe. Overall expect the Ohio State Buckeyes to play with a chip on their shoulders and win in a close one.

Next 4th ranked Clemson Tigers face 9th ranked LSU Tigers. Keep eyes on 2 top flight quarterbacks like Clemson Cade Klubnik and LSU Garrett Nussmeier. Both quarterbacks should be in the running for the Heisman Trophy. Clemson wins this game due to the history of Dabo Swinney and his ability to lead the team to big wins. Expect a Clemson win by double digits.

8th ranked Alabama goes on the road to face Florida State. This is a battle of bluebloods. Florida State is looking forward to bouncing back from a 2-10 record with 50 new players including a new quarterback in Thomas Castellanos. Florida State are 2 touchdown underdogs but this game should be closer but Alabama should win with Quarterback Ty Simpson including one of the best receivers in the NCAA football in Ryan Williams.

Syracuse faces #24 Tennessee in the AFLAC Kickoff in a non conference matchup. Keep eyes on this matchup Syracuse wins in an upset. When it comes to upsets,South Florida upset #25 Boise State by score of 34-7 on Thursday. 13th ranked South Carolina faces Virginia Tech on Sunday in a neutral field in Atlanta. Virginia Tech will win in an upset. Finally a familiar rivalry of yesteryear will be renewed on Sunday Night as the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame plays the Miami Hurricanes. This is a top notch top 10 matchup where the Irish is ranked #6 while the Canes are ranked #10.

The Irish will go with Freshman Quarterback CJ Carr who will be making his collegiate debut at Quarterback and against the Canes it will be Quarterback Carson Beck the transfer from Georgia who has an abundance of experience. Question marks abound for the Hurricanes receivers like CJ Daniels,Ny Carr, and Jo Jo Trader in terms of who will be the breakout receiver. Defensively the Canes will have a new defensive coordinator in Corey Hetherman who was successful with the Minnesota Golden Gophers where the defense was ranked 5th in total defense.

Miami defensively struggled mightily especially in the scoring defensive department in allowing 25.3 points which is not a representation of the typical old school Miami Hurricanes defense of the past. See happens this Sunday night overall Miami wins in a close one.

NFL Outlook

The NFL Season will began on September 4th as the Micah Parsons-less Dallas Cowboys will face the Philadelphia Eagles on the road so where do the Cowboys go from here in terms of Parsons getting traded to the Green Bay Packers for Defensive Tackle Kenny Clark who is a 3-time Pro-Bowler. Maybe this will be a winner in the Cowboys favor but Micah Parsons is by far the superior talent especially his pass rushing prowess with 52.5 sacks in his career and becoming the highest paid non-quarterback ever in league history:4-years,188 million dollars.

Overall only time will tell who won this trade moving forward for the predictions for the 2025 season:Buffalo Bills will win the AFC East,Houston Texans will win the AFC South, AFC North will go to the Baltimore Ravens, AFC West will go to the Kansas City Chiefs.  The wildcard teams from the AFC will be the Cincinnati Bengals, Denver Broncos and the Los Angeles Chargers.

ree

The AFC Championship Game will be between the Buffalo Bills and Houston Texans. The Texans are the team that is on the verge led by Head Coach Demeco Ryans, Quarterback CJ Stroud, Running Backs Nick Chubb and Joe Mixon, Wide Receiver Nico Collins including defensive standouts like Danielle Hunter, Will Anderson Jr and Derek Stingley Jr.

This is a very talented team that is on the trajectory to greatness but will fall short to the Buffalo Bills. In the NFC, the division winners will be Philadelphia Eagles, Tampa Bay Buccaneers Detroit Lions and the Los Angeles Rams. The wild card teams will be the Green Bay Packers, Seattle Seahawks and the Washington Commanders.

The NFC Championship Game will be between the Detroit Lions and the Los Angeles Rams. The Lions will prevail and advance to Super Bowl 60 in Santa Clara, California. Overall Super Bowl 60 will be between the Buffalo Bills and the Detroit Lions. This Super Bowl will refreshing and new featuring 2 NFL franchises that has never won a Super Bowl. Yes Buffalo was in 4 Super Bowls but that was in the 90s.

ree

The Detroit Lions has never been to a Super Bowl. Quarterback Jared Goff will have a big season throwing to big time receivers like Amon Ra St-Brown and Jameson Williams including Tight End Sam Laporta. The running game should be more potent led by dynamic duo of David Montgomery and Jahmyr Gibbs. Aiden Hutchinson should have a big season defensively and the rest of the defense especially when healthy and wholesome should be one of the best defenses in the league. This season will be different as the Detroit Lions will win the Super Bowl.
